The MIC is consulting on the draft Circular promulgating the National technical regulation (standard) on Land Mobile User Equipment – Radio Access (2G/3G/4G LTE terminals). The public consultation will finish on March 10th, 2023:

Scope: GSM, W-CDMA, E-UTRA Mobile Equipment
New regulations compared to QCVN 117:2020/BTTTT:
- Additional LTE bands: 2300-2400 (B40), 2500-2690 MHz (B41) 703 MHz – 733 MHz / 758 MHz – 788 MHz (B28)
- The mobile phone must be able to operate on one of the LTE/4G bands specified in the standard
- Another mobile terrestrial communication terminal, not a mobile phone, is not required to support 4G / LTE technology.

The standard QCVN 117:2023/BTTTT will be issued in 2023. It is expected that this standard will apply to goods in the List of mandatory CoC and DoC and will take effect from July 1, 2024
