SOUTH KOREA: 6 GHz Band Available for Wi-Fi

The Ministry of Science and ICT of South Korea has informed that the unlicensed use for the 6GHz band has been approved for the 5,925MHz to 7,125MHz range. This will make the 6GHz band under 25mW available for free use in indoor spaces.

The documents offer a comparison between the current WIFI and the WIFI 6GHz being published.

This notification entered into force from the day of publishing, October 15th, 2020.

5150 – 5350, 5470 – 5850, 17705 – 17715, 177252 – 17735, 19265 – 19275, 19265 – 19295,  5925 – 6425,  5925 – 7125

This regulation does not impact label, imports, or manual.
