The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) published a public consultation on its website, aiming to get comments on the proposed updated Class License for Short Range Devices (SRDs).
Main changes proposed are mostly as follows:
- ISM removal of the frequency band 6765-6795 KHz
- More M2M applications listed
- Definitions on the DECT applicability and changes in DECT eirp power depending on the antennas
- Update and addition of UWB technologies and available frequency bands
- Changes on Wireless applications for Healthcare and listening devices
- Updates and changes in inductive applications
All interested parties may present comments through the email type.approval@cra.gov.qa, until June 25, 2024.
