QATAR: CRA Issues New Class License for Short Range Devices (SRDs)

As a result of an extensive public consultation at the end of 2017, the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA), issued the third version of the Class License for Short Range Devices (SRDs). This new version of the Class License introduces new technologies and devices in the market which will benefit service providers, manufacturers, RTTE equipment suppliers and also consumers.

In summary, the new version includes new frequency bands for SRDs for a wide range of M2M applications and a separate section for Wireless Access Systems including Radio Local Area Networks (WAS/RLANs) applications and Radio Microphone applications. Moreover, users will find the authorized frequency ranges and the maximum allowed output power in the official document attached.
