The National Information and Communications Technology Authority (NICTA) released a public consultation to the radio frequency spectrum from 57 GHz to 71 GHz, and falls within the range of millimeter wave frequency.
NICTA recommends allocating the upper part of the 60 GHz band (66-71 GHz) for FWA deployment as a regulated band, while leaving the lower part (57-66 GHz) for unlicensed use
This consultation has been extended until September 13th 2023 and all written submissions should be emailed to consultation.spectrum@nicta.gov.pg or hand-delivered to NICTA Head Office.
