MEXICO: New Technical Operating Conditions of the 2400 – 2483.5 MHz Frequency Band

On January 04th, 2021: The Secretary of government (“Secretaria de Gobernacion”) shared an agreement by which the Plenary of the Federal Telecommunications Institute establishes the new technical operating conditions of the 2400 – 2483.5 MHz frequency band, classified as a free spectrum. This Agreement establishes new technical operating conditions for the different systems and applications that operate in a said frequency band, which allows the use of current technology, and in the same way, of new technologies, equipment, and devices under norms and international standards, allowing the coexistence of different applications or services in the 2.4 GHz band.
