MEXICO: Mutual Recognition Agreement With EE.UU and Canada Has Been Modified

October of 2016: The Mexican Ministry of Economy published on the Federation Official Diary (DOF) two agreements to inform about the changes in the Mutual Recognition Agreements with EE.UU and Canada. The Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) between EE.UU and Mexico was signed on May 26, 2011, and the MRA with Canada was signed on November 12, 2011. According to the article 11 of both agreements, The Ministry has to inform the changes in laws or regulations affecting the agreement. The Ministry made the same changes in both agreements, modifying the Annex I “List of relevant laws and technical regulations in matter of telecommunications”; and the Annex II “List of designators authorities, regulatory authorities and accreditation organisms”. The changes came into force on October 12, 2016.
