MEXICO: Importing Under Current NOM-001-SCFI-1993 Certificates

On September 18, 2019, the SNICE (National Service of Information on Foreign Trade) published its Bulletin No. 0023 “Importation under the protection of current certificates NOM-001-SCFI-1993”, which mentions the following:

According to the fifth transitory of the publication to the modification of Annex 2.4.1 of the SE rules (Annex of NOM’s) dated September 2nd, the existing certificates under NOM-001-SCFI-1993 will remain in force, until the term indicated therein, in order to comply with NOM-001-SCFI-2018. Therefore, in order to import goods subject to compliance with NOM-001-SCFI-2018, the NOM for which the certificate was granted must be declared in the declaration.
