The National Standardization Committee for the Preservation and Rational Use of Energy Resources (CCNNPURRE) has approved the Official Mexican Standard NOM-029-ENER-2017 for energy efficiency in external power sources.
The objective of this regulation is to establish the minimum values of energy efficiency in operation, the limits of electrical power in standby, test methods and labelling for the power supplies used in cellular phones, notebooks, printers, set-top boxes, televisions and other electronic devices that have been increasing sales in recent years.
