HONG KONG: Type Acceptance Criteria for User Equipment in Public Mobile Communications Services Employing UTRA FDD and/or E-UTRA FDD and Operating in 850 MHz Band

In Jan 2022, OFCA published the type acceptance criteria for the use of UTRA FDD, E-UTRA FDD, and operating in the 850 MHz band. 

In safety matters, the equipment shall comply with HKCA 2001 “Compliance Test Specification – Safety and Electrical Protection Requirements for Subscriber Telecommunications Equipment” issued by the Communications Authority (CA).

In regards to the band, the frequency range for the equipment are as follows:

Finally,  concerning the technical requirements, they have to be performed in accordance with ETSI standard and 3GPP specifications:
