COLOMBIA: ANE Publishes Consultation to Update Free Spectrum Regulations

Back

The National Spectrum Agency (ANE) is promoting to update the regulations for free spectrum use. For this reason, the Entity is consulting to the interested parties the document “Technical Annex of the Free Use regulations” for comments.

This document corresponds to the proposed modification of the Technical Annex of Resolution 711 of 2016 of the ANE. With this initiative, the ANE seeks that the technical and operational conditions established for radiocommunication systems to use the spectrum under the modality of free use, are presented in a much clearer way and the information is easy to understand for the general public. Additionally, the Entity seeks to ensure that this annex goes hand in hand with the constant advancement of radio communication technologies and reflects the needs of users of the spectrum of free use in the country.

Those interested in submitting their comments, can do it via email to comentarios@ane.gov.co with the subject “Comments Spectrum Free use” until October 19, 2018, or send them physically to the ANE facilities in Bogotá.
