CHINA: MIIT Released the RoHS 2 Regulation Which Will Replace RoHS 1

China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), together  with other seven ministries, released on January 21, 2016, the “Restriction of Hazardous Substances” (RoHS2) regulation, which includes regulations and restrictions for those who produce or import electrical and electronic products (devices and accessory products with rated working electrical voltages of no more than 1500 volts DC and 1000 volts AC) in China. The management methods for the “Restriction of the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products” regulation will come into force on July 1, 2016, that date the RoHS1 will be repealed.
