CANADA – UNITED STATES: IC And FCC Decided To Repurpose The 600 MHz Band

Following the increasing need for space in the spectrum for more mobile data traffic and the need to allocate the spectrum efficiently, the IC (Canada) and the FCC (United States) made an agreement to repurpose the 600 MHz band in both sides of the border. Taking in account the need to minimize the interference and assign more space for mobile broadband services. The tv services will be relocated in lower frequencies in both countries.
