BRAZIL: Public Consultation on Label Marking Rules and ANATEL Extension to Mandatory Product Entering Brazil Already With ANATEL Label

At the end of May 2021, ANATEL has published Public Consult number 25, which proposes an amendment of the Operating Procedure for Label Marking Identification of Anatel Approval in Telecommunications Products, approved by Act No. 4088, of July 31, 2020. This amendment aims to extend 730 days (from July 31st, 2020), the entry into force of the obligations established in item 5.2.1 (this item determines that the ANATEL label must be affixed prior to the enter the product in Brazil when the product is assembled outside the Country) and include, in this same item, the exception of products that are regulated by the National Health Surveillance Agency – ANVISA. Public contributions are up to June 25th, 2021, however it is good to be aware that this amendment shall be in force very soon, and of course, Entirety will notify you as soon as it is published by the Regulator.
