Last week, ANATEL has published the Resolution 718 which Amends the Regulation on Restricted Radiation Radio-communication Equipment and revokes the Regulation for the Use of Femtocells in Networks of the Personal Mobile Service, the Specialized Mobile Service, and the Multimedia Communication Service. This treats the femtocell as restricted radiation radio-communication equipment, and change some frequency bands of use restriction in Table I and Annex I of Resolution 680.
The Resolution shall be effective within ninety (90) days from the date of its publication.
