BRAZIL: ANATEL Public Consultation No. 11 About the 28 GHz Band

Last Friday, ANATEL published a Consultation About the Technical and Operational Requirements of spectrum use conditions for the 28 GHz band (sub-band 27.5-27.9 GHz) in accordance with the Regulation on Conditions of Use for the 24.25 GHz to 27.90 GHz Radio Frequency Band, approved by Resolution No. 742, of March 1, 2021

The objective is to use this band also for 5G technologies. Currently, this band is used for limited private communication (SLP), multimedia communication (SCM), personal mobile communication (SMP), and switched fixed telephony (STFC).

The document establishes the operational maximum EIRP for the mobile stations, terminals, base, nodal and repeater stations, and other technical conditions.

The interested parties can submit the comments until May 23rd, 2022.
