The document expands Cybersecurity obligations for companies holding Critical Telecommunications Infrastructures. According to the Agency’s proposal, all telecommunications service providers, regardless of size, must change the default authentication configuration of the equipment provided on a lending basis to their users. Even Small Business Providers (PPPs) – which have a national market share of less than 5% in each general market – are subject to compliance with this obligation.
The Normative Instruction applies to telecommunications service providers, but all ONT manufacturers must accomplish that.
