INDOTEL, the Dominican Republic Telecoms Regulator announced that they are working on an actualization of the general telecommunications law # 153-98. The new law will reflect the world developments in the ICT sector. INDOTEL also announced that the country will extend the telecoms infrastructure and will build a national fibre backbone.
