During the Covid-19 pandemic, different facilities were announced, such as being able to carry out the customs clearance of the merchandise subject to compliance with the NOM at its point of entry into the country, with the formal application form only, the facility was known through of the official publications:

The authority formally informs this May 25th, 2023 that due to the fact that the circumstances that gave rise to the facilities mentioned in the previous letters no longer prevail today, and the Conformity Assessment Bodies have normalized their operations, importers can resume normal planning of the certifications for its trade activities, the previous official publications have been invalidated.
In accordance with the foregoing, there is a period of 30 business days to transmit the requests for folios that the Conformity Assessment Bodies have received from the date of publication of the official letter, that is, at the latest on July 6th, 2023.
The import folios that are duly registered in the corresponding official portal will expire on August 23, 2023

If any importer had plans to receive the merchandise in Mexico when beginning their certification processes through an importation folio for the following months, they must rethink their activities, we resume normality in Mexico, and importations must be carried out soon only with NOM certificates where applicable
