MEXICO: Reminder – New PEC Entering Force June 29th

This is a reminder that the adjusted PEC (Conformity Assessment Procedure) published by IFT on Dec 27/2021 and the new homologation guidelines applicable to the telecommunications products or broadcasting, connected to a telecommunications network, or using the radio spectrum, published on Dec 29/2021 will enter into force next week on June 29th, 2022, after the transition period of 180 days after the publication.

IFT is introducing electronic systems to handle the full certification process, including digital signatures, also some of the changes are that the certificate the owner will have the opportunity to include in the certification its importers to authorize them to use the certificate, it’s including the definition of the certification types and their validity, and the new process for registration of devices formally exempted from homologation, among other changes.
