In accordance with the decision of the Board of Commissioners of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission No. (6-1 / 12020) dated (01/30/2020), it was agreed to issue instructions to send bulk messages and publish them on the website of the General Consultation Authority for a period of (30) days from the date of publication for consultation until March 11, 2020.
The importance of issuing these instructions is to protect the interests of those who benefit from telecommunications services, as it set conditions for sending service messages as a necessity to address service messages with the code containing the name of the sending authority in addition to the required service code. The instructions also included regulatory provisions that obligate the licensee, such that users can request to stop receiving promotional messages according to an easy, accessible and free mechanism, not to send or pass promotional messages to those who do not want to receive them and take all technical procedures and solutions that guarantee this.
