MEXICO: Electronic Devices, Electrical Safety Requirements and Test Methods, Cancellation of NOM-001-SCFI-1993

On September 17, The Economy Secretary published the Official Mexican Standard NOM-001-SCFI-2018 which cancels the NOM-001-SCFI-1993 (Electronic devices, Electrical Safety Requirements, and Test Methods). The new NOM will enter into force 240 days after its publication. The certificates of conformity issued under the NOM-001-SCFI-1993 will be still valid until their expiration date. Also, those certified products under the previous NOM may be sold until the inventory is depleted.
